Local Historical Room Located on the downstairs level of the Kinsman Free Public Library, the Historical Room contains many valuable pictures, artifacts, prints and other various materials related to Kinsman History.

The Historical Room is open to the public during the Ohio and local historical materials book that the library is open. Please stop in and visit anytime.

The Local History Library serves over 3, people a year from all over the country looking for information on family history and historical documents from the Miami County area. The research library features books, maps, manuscripts, wills, land records, etc.

The Special Collections Division collects genealogy and historical materials for Dayton, Montgomery County and the Miami Valley Region. More than years of Dayton newspapers are available on microfilm and the Library has been a Federal Document Depository for more than years. Special Collections staff offer programs on Genealogy and Dayton historical topics.

Other Historical Book References. Many of these are available at the Smith Library of Regional History (Lane Public Libraries) at South Locust Street.
